Newcomer Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the western in an excellent game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the dealer, unlike most other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not have to be concerned about any other, more experienced individuals winning their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make quick selections.

It’s also simpler to wager on for an extended time with just a little bit of money since, to lose, both of your hands has to be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
