Novice Strategy for Pai Gow Poker

Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a fantastic game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players do not need to be concerned about other, more skillful people winning their moolla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game pace, novices can take their time and plan without having to make frenzied choices.

It is also easier to wager on for a long time with only a little bit of money since, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is given 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is dealt seven cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
