Four of Poker’s Great Players

No Joke, countless of players are trying to be the next "big thing" in poker, but here is a short list of 4 of the more well known "nice guys" of the game. Despite the fact that "nice" is associated with their names when you are playing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In 2004, his tournament payouts amounted to more than four and a half million dollars and he attained 2 highly admired awards in the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In February Two Thousand and Six he was appointed Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the humility to talk to his fans about how they can improve their own game.

Howard Lederer

Known as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an instructional video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his total life winnings surpass $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and between 2000 and Two Thousand and Four he finished in the money in well over one hundred tournaments. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the term "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a especially bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are just about 6 million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has earned five World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his successes happening in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, and is able to toss playing cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total poker tournament winnings exceeded five million dollars.
