Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks

Web poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many types on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers are given 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s value is akin to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a sum equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash even with your ante and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
