NL Texas Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the greatest poker competitor on the globe by most of the top pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to NJ before his first birthday. His papa taught him one cent-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to learn anything he could about the game. Phil routinely told his elders that he was going to be a professional poker player. Phil didn’t permit the adverse comments from other people annihilate his ambition of being one of the greatest poker competitors on the planet.

He started competing seriously after acquiring a false ID by the name of Jerome. He honed his game at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The beginning few years for him were a teaching opportunity and winning wasn’t a normal outcome at the time. He became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved 2 final tables and won his first WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the closing table he destroyed many of the better known pros which includes "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

Phil decided to take his game to the successive level and moved out west to Sin City. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his success to dedication and a continuing passion for the game of poker. Phil says that he is learning every single day and is very abashed about his achievements. Phil admits to making mistakes in each session of poker and always strives to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has won some big tournaments, he likes destroying money games on a normal basis.
